Exclusive: RESIDENT EVIL 2 Composers Discuss End Credit Track “Saudade”
I think it’s safe to say by this point that Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 was nothing short of a massive success. Not just for the company, mind you, but also for fans who were hoping that the remake would match the greatness that 2002’s Resident Evil brought forth. As someone who grew up with the original, the Resident Evil 2 remake is incredible, plain and simple.
Today, we’ve got a very fun exclusive video where we got Jeff Rona, producer, and Cody Matthew Johnson, composer, to talk about “Saudade”, which plays during the end credits as well as on Leon’s radio when he pulls into the gas station during the beginning of the game.
The duo chat about how they teamed up with Capcom for the track, what kind of instructions they were given, what kind of research they did, and a whole lot more.
You can listen to the song below and watch the interview at the top of the article.
