WRATH: Aeon Of Ruin Releases Early Access Content Update #2 For Quake Inspired Shooter
Developer Jeremiah “KillPixel” Fox has released the second big update for their retro FPS game WRATH: Aeon of Ruin. Published by none other than 3D Realms, best known for Duke Nukem, the latest early-access update for WRATH brings a new level, enemy, and weapon to the game.
In WRATH: Aeon of Ruin you play as an Outlander, a mysterious figure who finds themselves in a dying world. An angelic figure called the “Shepherd of Wayward Souls” gives you the divine task of hunting down the corrupted guardians of the Old World. Basically, use cool guns and shoot monsters, the best kind of holy quest. Traveling through the ancient ruins, you must kill wave upon wave of horrible creatures and mutated humans.
WRATH: Aeon of Ruin channels the feel of classic FPS games, especially Quake and Painkiller. With unique multi-purpose weapons such as the “Fangspitter” which fires the teeth of fallen enemies, and the “Retcher” which shoots green balls of goo, a layer of strategy and understanding an enemy’s weaknesses and strengths are required to survive.
WRATH: Aeon of Ruin will not fully release until February 25, 2020, but you can purchase the early access mode now on PC. For more information or to buy the game for yourself, check out the Steam page here.
