Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood Trailer Is Further Proof That Chaining Yourself To A Tree Is Less Effective Eco-Activism Then Lycanthropy
Cyanide SA, the studio behind Styx: Master of Shadows and Pro Cycling Manager, unveiled a new cinematic trailer for their upcoming title. Werewolf: The Apocalypse- Earthblood is based on the Werewolf: The Apocalypse role-playing game, where the players take the role of, you guessed it, werewolves. These werewolves, known as “Gariou,” are a battle against the destructive expansion of human civilization as well as a mysterious supernatural force.
In Werewolf: The Apocalypse- Earthblood, you will play as Cahal, a Garou who has suffered tremendously from his werewolf curse. As the website states, Cahal’s “worst enemy is [himself]: if you don’t contain your rage, it can destroy you once again…” In the trailer he turns into a Crinos, an extremely powerful but mentally unstable werewolf—according to the wiki, a Crinos is inflicted with delirium when in this “war-form.”
The trailer for Werewolf: The Apocalypse- Earthblood has Cahal transform into this super-werewolf in order to fight back against an oil company called Endron. Cahal is an eco terrorist (which is dope) and seeks to fight back against Endron and stop them from destroying the planet. Presumably he will do this with both ripping and tearing.
We don’t yet know what the gameplay for Werewolf: The Apocalypse will be, but if the trailer is any indication, it will probably be pretty cool. Their website says Cahal has three forms; human for dialogue, wolf for sneaking, and werewolf for carnage. The Epic Games Store page for it has some screenshots that would suggest it’s a 3rd person game, but again, this is mostly speculation.
