Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 “Come Dance” Shows Next-Gen Sequel of Cult Classic is Probably Going to be Incredible
Today Paradox announced that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be coming to next-gen consoles. This highly anticipated sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, one of the greatest RPG games of all time, shows a return to form for the cult classic series that we’ve been hoping for.
The new “Come Dance” trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 begins with a truly disturbing scene of a family hanging lights on their Christmas tree while a vampire dances around them. The family is dead and suspended from the ceiling by hooks and for some reason their eyes are bulging out of their heads. I mean what the fuck man.
The rest of the Bloodlines 2 trailer gives us a taste of what to expect in the game. Much like the first game, the protagonist must adhere to a vampire code known as The Masquerade, where you’re not allowed to reveal the existence of the vampire world. But you still gotta eat. Players will be able to choose whether or not to play as a vampire that hunts by sneaking through the shadows, or by charming their prey. This varied style of gameplay is what made the predecessor so great, and it’s good to see that this sequel is sticking to that system.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One, The good news for all you non-next gen console owners is that you can buy Bloodlines 2 for Xbox One and get a free copy for Xbox Series X when it comes out. No news as to if this applies to Playstation. For more information, you can check out the game’s website here, as well as pre-purchase on Steam here.
