Hello, you glorious gluttons for all things indie horror! Are you just starving for the newest of the new, the most unknownest of the unknown? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Welcome to the Ultra-Indie Daily Dose! In this series, we’re going to pick a new game every day from an indie horror creator you’ve probably never heard of. No million-dollar budgets or factory productions. This is the space for the little guy with not but a developer toolkit and a dream. So if you’re down to roll the dice on something different, then stick around and check it out!
Welcome back for another Daily Dose! It’s been a big week for fans of old school FPS games. First Vomitoreum reached 150% of their Kickstarter campaign’s funding goal. Now we have a prototype build for Deathless Hyperion by itch developer FrankieSmileShow. Don’t let the style and brightly colored guns fool you. This is a real survival horror experience, in the format of Wolfenstein 3D.
Deathless Hyperion takes place on or around Hyperion, one of the many moons of Saturn. You play as one of the last survivors of a currently unknown incident or entity that is ravaging the personnel and machines. With nothing but a gun and the superhuman cardio abilities of Doomguy, you must fight your way through the dark halls in order to find enough supplies to stay alive.
