State of Decay 3 Teaser Trailer Introduces Terrifying New Species Of Zombie

You’d be surprised how decayed a state can get. And after the latest reveal, its safe to assume State of Decay 3 plans on showing us. An announcement at the Xbox Games Showcase event for the sequel came in the form of a new cinematic trailer. While there wasn’t any gameplay, we can safely assume who the protagonist of this new iteration will be (a very not happy lady), and perhaps where it will take place (some kind of forest/mountain area in the winter).

State of Decay is a third-person survival horror game about the post-apocalyptic United States. Overcome by a zombie menace, the country has fallen and it is up to you to gather survivors and rebuild. But this new game posits more threats than the humble zombified human. The trailer shows an entirely new type of zombie, a type I don’t think we’ve ever seen before. Expanding on that idea, there could be all kinds of different new zombies; zombie bears, zombie birds, zombie squirrels, hell, maybe even zombie bark beetles. Who can say.
