Soulstice Brings Dark Fantasy Hack and Slash Next Year
When fighting monsters, you’ll want a buddy with you. Thankfully, Soulstice sees you literally combining with a buddy to help fight monsters to your hearts content.
Announced during the PC Gaming Show, Soulstice puts you in the role of Brair and Lute, a pair of sisters who have been revived as a chimera. Which is to say Brair runs around hitting people with her sword and superhuman strength, while Lute follows around as a ghostly presence. You’ll play as both characters at the same time, having to fight off enemies by using your sword and ghost magic. The goal? reclaim the city from the wraiths, who have invaded. Hopefully without being killed, since it’s likely the heroes of Soulstice can’t be revived a second time.
Sure that may sound like an easy job, but it’s not quite. The sisters will have to face all sorts of monsters, who will attempt to stop them. A lot of the game is based on Japanese mythology, so now would be a good time to read up on their monsters and get an idea on what you’ll be facing. You’ll have to customize their weaponry and solve environmental puzzles if you want any chance to survive. You also need to kill monsters and not get hit. Fans of games like Devil May Cry should find plenty of things they’ll love about Soulstice.
If you’re interested in Soulstice, the game is set to launch some time in 2022 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. You can toss the game on your Steam wishlist right now though.
