Sinfeld Remastered, the Seinfeld Horror Game, Isn’t a Lie if You Believe It
Look, I give up trying to figure out if this one is real or not. I honestly have no clue. But yesterday Sinfeld Remastered was announced, and it’s a Seinfeld themed horror game.
Obviously that sounds fake, right? I mean, just look at the trailer. There’s a baby character that quotes Metal Gear Solid, watches Eve 01 from Evangelion do battle with Godzilla, and recreates the famous upside-down kiss scene from the 2002 Spider-Man movie. The trailer basically looks like a series of barely connected events. A couple of hours ago a Japanese version of the trailer was also posted, with people sounding like they’re trying to be parodies of characters from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Hatsune Miku.
Yet… the game already exists, kind of. Last year developer RareBird Games released Sinfeld Chronicles on PlayStation 4’s game creating game Dreams. In it you played as Donathan, Jerry’s secret nephew who is basically a baby. After he accidentally pees on Jerry’s bed, he goes on a quest for new sheets. Unfortunately, the world has gone rather crazy. As far as I can tell, Sinfeld Remastered appears to just be a recreation of Sinfeld Chronicles, only on Unreal Engine so it isn’t tied to Dreams.
Also it’s apparently coming to the PlayStation 5. Because why not at this point?
