Retro FPS Prodeus Enters Ultra Violent Beta Testing
Humble Games has announced that Prodeus has just entered closed beta testing. Created by developer Bounding Box Software, Prodeus is a retro FPS throwback. Harnessing the AAA development quality of today, and mixed with the aesthetic of old, this latest project is one of the most advanced FPS games of the retro genre.
Prodeus doesn’t have a story. That would just get in the way. The game is being built by Michael Voeller and Jason Mojica, both working previously on titles such as Singularity and Wolfenstein (2009). According to the Steam page, they “have a combined 25 years of FPS development experience.” As you can see in the trailer, it very much shows.
Prodeus is still accepting people to join the closed beta, which you can find from the Steam page here. And if you don’t get in, they plan on entering early access on November 10th.
