New Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood Gameplay Focuses on Stealth and Combat
If there’s one thing I always wanted out of video games, it was to turn into a big ol’ werewolf and smash some oil companies. Thankfully, it seems like Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood will be offering exactly that.
In a nearly 7 minute video, we got to see some gameplay of the upcoming title. The main character, a werewolf named Cahal, was breaking into an oil refinery run by Endron. To do so he can freely shift between his human and wolf form, which allows him different options. For example, the wolf can sniff out enemies and sneak through small spaces, while the human has a crossbow and can interact with things in the environment. All of this looks like a fun, if simple, stealth game.
Then, naturally, Cahal gets caught and we get to see Earthblood‘s combat. Taking the crinos form, basically the giant man-wolf, Cahal will do combat with plenty of enemies. He can switch between a pair of stances that focus on either speed or power, and as he fights he gathers rage that he can unleash in special abilities. This doesn’t mean enemies will be complete pushovers though. They can bring silver bullets to the fight and, if you’re hit by one, will cause your max health to decrease for the rest of the fight. Also they have big stompy robots, which seems like it may help with fighting werewolves.
If this sounds like your jam, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood will be launching on February 4th, 2021, for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
