Mortal Kombat 11 Kontinues Krossover Kanon With New The Joker Trailer
I’ve always loved the Mortal Kombat krossover kharacters. Okay, not talking about the Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe game. That was… let’s not go into it. I’m talking about the slew of kopyright defying kombatants that have been gracing the screen since Mortal Kombat (2011). There was Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, the Predator, and most recently the T-800. Now, Mortal Kombat 11 is kontinuing this proud tradition with the introduction of the Klown Prince of Krime.
This isn’t the first time that The Joker has taken the stage for a NetherRealm fighting game. He’s a playable kharacter in both Injustice games, despite being dead. However, he always felt restrained. The Injustice games always shot for a T-rating, meaning you couldn’t have any violent murders (well, like one or two as part of the story). With Mortal Kombat 11, we’ll get to see the violent psychopath in all his gory glory.
As with all new Kombatants, The Joker is available first to owners of the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pass. He will be available January 28th, or a week later for individual purchase. The Kombat Pass komes with six other kharacters, with Spawn releasing March 17th. You can get it for $39.99, or as part of the $89.99 Premium Edition. The Joker also releases alongside other DC themed kontent, including “Time Lord of Apokolips” Geras, “Darkest Knight” Noob Saibot, “Killer Kroc” Baraka, and “Katwoman of Outworld” Kitana.
