Limited Run Games Want to Stock Your Shelves This Year
Limted Run Games is a physical game release company. The ability to buy digital games is great, but what if you want a fancy boxed copy? Limited Run seems to be the place to go. Their E3 conference has wrapped up, and I’d like to tell you whats coming from them this year and beyond.
BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites is hitting the Switch and PS4
Bloodrayne is a weird series. It stars Rayne, a dhampire. She’s hired by the vampire hunting Brimstone Society. You’ll be doing combat with arm blades and pistols, and tearing through enemies with your vampiric powers. This classic from 2011 will be hitting Steam and physical mediums later in 2021. You can check out the trailer below.
A huge crop of Castlevania is coming
Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood are hitting the PS4 in a new physical edition. Rondo of Blood will also be available in a physical edition on the Turbo Duo. This marks the first time Rondo of Blood will be available in English on it’s original platform. Limited Run apparently isn’t messing around. I don’t even know what a Turbo Duo is. Check out the trailer below.
Dusk is getting a fancy physical release
Fans of the retro-shooter Dusk rejoice! The grimy, violent shooter from Dave Szymanski and New Blood is coming to Switch and PS4 in a limited number. Just in case you’ve never played Dusk, it stars the angriest man shotgunning down legions of wizards and living scarecrows. It’s an absolute must-play for fans of the genre. Limited Run will hopefully do it right when it launches later this year. You can check out the trailer below.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol are coming to Switch, PS4, SNES? and Genesis?
Limited Run has outdone itself. The classic isometric shooter Zombies At My Neighbors is coming to the classic consoles it premiered on. If you’ve still got a Super Nintendo or a Sega Genesis lying around, this will be the release for you. Zombies Ate My Neighbors features teen protagonists Zeke and Julie fighting through 55 levels of every horror movie monster imaginable. Their neighbors are in danger, and you’re the only one who can save them. Also included is Ghoul Patrol, the 1994 sequel. The games are available for pre-order right now on Limited Run’s site. You can check out a trailer below.
That’s what really pinged the radar for me this year. You can always check out Limited Run’s whole selection here. Limited Run isn’t just their name. The supplies on these special releases are limited, so get in while the gettin’s good.
