Killing Floor 2 Drops New Seasonal Content

A new seasonal content update dropped for Killing Floor 2 this morning. Titled Killing Floor 2: Dystopian Devastation, the update continues Tripwire Interactive’s trend of releasing free content in seasonal waves.

Though Killing Floor 2 has been around 2016, it regularly receives balance updates and new content from the development team. Its yearly seasons include spring, summer, Halloween, and Christmas-themed updates. Many of these free content updates include some combination of new assets, such as maps, skins, and weapons. This spring’s event, of course, is no exception.

If you’re a tremendous fan of neon, you might enjoy community map Dystopia 2029. Featuring a “bleak futuristic style,” Dystopia 2029 is available in the standard Survival, Weekly, and Endless game modes. At last, you can bust zombie craniums while jogging underneath the vivid, flickering pulse of neon lights.

In addition to the map, players will also gain access to new Killing Floor 2 weapons. Demolitionists can acquire the Gravity Imploder, a weapon that blasts canisters at foes. These can be used to pop zed heads or reposition them closer, adding some tactical options. Sharpshooters gain the sonic Beluga Beat weapon, which can charge up its earsplitting shots to inflict more damage. Naturally, the update also includes some quality-of-life updates, new achievements, and seasonal bundles in the in-game store.

Ah, yes, just like that Double Dragon Neon song.

And, of course, there are the cosmetics. Since the most important part of zombie-killing is to look good, Killing Floor 2: Dystopian Devastation includes new appearance items. Pick up new hats, masks, backpacks, weapon skins, and other miscellaneous accessories.

Lastly, the update coincides with a number of sales on various platforms. Killing Floor 2 is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). Purchasing the base game also grants access to all previous free content updates.
