If You Ever Thought That The Witcher 3 Would Be Better With Guns, I Have Good News
If you ever saw Geralt fight a monster and shouted “Just shoot it!” then hey, good news. A mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt lets you do exactly that. The best part? The guns are at least sort of historically accurate, or at least as historically accurate as a fantasy world with magic, werewolves, elves, and dragons can be. I mean you could really just give Geralt a shotgun and call it a day, but at least the modder went the extra mile to make sure it all fits in.
The mod, which you can find over on Nexus Mods, adds in ten guns and seven ammo types. However, all the guns are single-shot black powdered weapons, and you need to craft your own ammo for it. For this, you’ll need to find bullet molds and gunpowder, which are two more things you can craft. Get everything together and, starting at level 10, you can build yourself a nice and fancy pistol. Just don’t do something wild like shoot your eye out kid.
The mod was made by modder Roenaxx. They have a couple of other interesting mods, such as one that just turns Geralt into a furry. In case you really needed Geralt to get in touch with his wild side. Another adds in 55 new unique weapons to the game, which is a solid amount. It seems like a good one to combine with all these new guns after all.
Of course, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the most popular games of this generation, so you probably don’t need this link to the store page but here you go anyway.
