Hardsuit Lab Removes Narrative Lead and Creative Director from Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
Today Hardsuit Lab and Paradox Entertainment have announced some staffing changes for the upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Specifically, they’ve announced that Narrative Lead Brian Mitsoda and Creative Director Ka’ai Cluney have been let go from the project.
The news came out today from a post on the game’s website. No reason for the dismissal has been given, only that they’ve been replaced by Alexandre Mandryka, a Creative Consultant that has worked on games in the Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed series, along with some Warhammer 40,000 games. You can see their post here, but outside of that information, there isn’t really much else to say.
However, Brian Mitsoda has provided a statement over on Rock, Paper, Shotgun. In the statement, he said he was surprised about being fired and was not informed about the reason behind the decision. He notes that he’s been working hard on the game and that he’s certain narrative elements are not the reason for the recent delay. Finally, he thanks everyone who has supported him over the years and that he hopes the end product is worth the wait.
If you’re still interested in picking up Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 then you can add the game to your wishlist here. It’s set to come out sometime next year on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
