Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds Announces Signup For Closed Beta

One of my favorites among the 7th gen games was Lost Planet. A weird game on an ice planet where you fight waves of insects in order to harvest the orange goo inside them. Also, tiny mechs with massive guns. Good stuff. I bring it up because the gameplay trailer for Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds gives me that same arctic survivalist feeling, now in VR. 

Frostpoint VR seems to be a cool mix of Counter Strike, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and Lost Planet. Set in the arctic, the game is a PvPvE first-person shooter. Two teams of ten fight not only each other but also against “terrifying biomechanical creatures.” With over a dozen guns to use, from assault rifles to energy weapons, Frostpoint VR may be the most detailed VR FPS yet.
