Experience Otherworldly Ecstasy When Lust From Beyond Launches Next Year
After last year’s Lust for Darkness, developer Movie Games Lunarium is back with a standalone sequel, Lust from Beyond, which is set to arrive on Steam sometime in 2020 after raising over CA$90 on Kickstarter. They will be partnering with PlayWay to publish the game on PC.
Described as a “psychological horror with occult and erotic themes”, Lust from Beyond will focus on Victor Holloway, a man who joins a mysterious society known as the Cult of Ecstasy to find answers to questions which have been plaguing his mind. However, he gets more than he bargained for when he learns that the cultists are actually trying to find passage into Lusst’ghaa, a supposed Land of Ecstasy located in another plain of reality. You also won’t need to have played Lust for Darkness to understand the plot of Lust from Beyond, as it will be a standalone story with few connections to its predecessor.
Regarding gameplay, Lust from Beyond will be played from a first-person perspective, with an emphasis on exploration and puzzle solving. While it won’t be combat heavy, you’ll still need to fight some of the otherworldly monsters you encounter, and some of the creature designs are truly grotesque.
As you can see from the pre-released trailers and screenshots, this is a game which will not shy away from embracing adult themes, so it probably won’t be for the faint of heart or the easily offended. However, if you’d like to experience Lust from Beyond, you can purchase a free demo from Steam before the full game arrives next year.
