Evil West is Just Like the Wild West, but Evil
A cinematic trailer for Evil West was dropped at The Game Awards 2020, and as you may expect with a name like that, it’s the evil version of the wild west.
The game is being developed by Flying Wild Hogs, the developer of the popular Shadow Warrior reboot series that recently got bought by THQ Nordic, and will be published by Focus Home Interactive. The trailer itself is all CGI, so we don’t get to see any gameplay, but it sets the mood pretty well. Namely we get to see a gunslinger walking through a destroyed town, shooting monsters and demons. He has a cool power gauntlet, which allows him to shoot lightning, have extend claws, and punch someone with a super fist. Good stuff.
The Steam page does give a little more details about the game. It mentions that you play as the last vampire-hunter trying to fight off a threat that may destroy America. It promises a “narrative-driven” campaign that has you upgrading both your character and weapons. Additionally, it seems the game will also support co-op. It’s not much to go on, but it is enough to at least get someone excited for some wild west action.
Evil West is set to release on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S some time in 2021. You can add it to your wishlist here.
