Dying Light Celebrates 5 Years With Free Weekend, New Difficulty, And More
I am constantly impressed that Dying Light is still a thing. When I last checked, the good people at Techland were giving away a free copy of their battle royale spin-off Dying Light: Bad Blood. Even though the game actually turned five on January 27th, the real Dying Light celebration starts today. The first of their proposed month of events is a free weekend on Steam. This will be the first time the game has had a free weekend since the launch and is an excellent chance for new players to experience just what about Dying Light has given it this staying power. If you like what you see, you can pick it up for 67% off before Monday.
Other than that, most of the events remain a mystery. In a statement from Techland, they promise, “A month full of both global and local community events starts today, and will last until March 19. Expect fan favorites to make a comeback, and a few surprises!” One revealed reward is a blueprint for C4. More explosives is always a good thing. Also available is a new DLC anniversary bundle, featuring a new pipe, sledgehammer, shotgun, and paint job for the buggy. The bundle is available for PC and console for $2.99.
