Don’t Be Afraid Will Ironically Make You Very Afraid; Try Out The Prologue For Free
Who doesn’t love a house full of bloodied mannequins? Broken Arrow Games released something of a prologue to their upcoming horror game, Don’t Be Afraid. The prologue, or demo or whatever, Don’t Be Afraid: The First Toy, is a self-contained story. It follows with a similar premise to the final product, with a different protagonist.

In Don’t Be Afraid: The First Toy, you play as Jamie, a young child who is being hunted by a killer. Drugged and kidnapped, Jamie wakes up and finds himself packaged in a comically oversized toy box. With only a candle to ward off the darkness, he must escape the labyrinthine basement by solving riddles and puzzles before he becomes the killer’s next victim.

Don’t Be Afraid: The First Toy is a classic spooky walking simulator, but for a prequel it is quite entertaining. The atmosphere created by the disgusting blood-covered mannequins is bad enough, but the basement also contains some truly unsettling dolls; uncanny valley to the max, with eyes that seem to follow you around the room.
