Call Of Duty Announces Upcoming Zombies Mode For Warzone, New Cold War Black Ops Title
Activision announced today that their flagship series Call of Duty will be taking a trip down memory lane. Going back from the 2060s of Black Ops 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a brand new story taking place in the 1980s. Ah, but who cares about all that international politics and whatnot? The best part of the Black Ops series was always the zombies mode. The interesting novelty from World at War reached new heights under Call of Duty: Black Ops and beyond. And soon, they will even be reaching Warzone.
The most exciting news from today’s announcement was the upcoming update that will bring the zombie mode to Warzone. “What better way to reveal Black Ops Cold War than together with our players from inside Call of Duty: Warzone,” said Byron Beede, Executive Vice President of Activision. Turning Warzone from PvP to PvPvE would bring a new layer of challenge to the ever-popular battle royale. There’s not a whole lot of information just yet as to how this will work, but we will apparently find out soon. There will be an announcement via their Twitch on September 9th that should give us a better idea of what to expect.
Call of Duty: Warzone is free to play, so now’s the time to get some practice in before the zombies attack. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be releasing on November 13th, with versions for next-gen consoles later this year.
