New Trailer For The Medium Is Well Done

As part of the Xbox Showcase Event, we were shown a new trailer for the upcoming horror game The Medium. Created by Polish studio Bloober Team, best known for Layers of Fear and Blair Witch, this “Dual Reality” gives us an idea of how The Medium will play.

In The Medium you play as, well, a medium. A psychic with a connection to a dark, Beksinski-esque parallel world, you are capable of traversing between that dimension and our own. The trailer gives us a better idea of what the story will be. Apparently it involves a creature called The Maw, “a monster born from an unspeakable tragedy.”

As a next-gen title, The Medium will seamlessly render both versions of the world at the same time, allowing for seamless back and forth gameplay. The trailer shows how the two world behave differently, not just visually. The protagonist can use special medium abilities in the Beksinski world, which should make for some interesting gameplay (Titanfall 2 heads already know).
