Gamer Girl Tells A Story Any Streamer Can Relate To

Wales Interactive announced a new live-action game today, Gamer Girl. In it you play as a moderator for a popular streamer, Abicake99, returning to the streaming lifestyle after the mysterious disappearance of her friend. Mixing the FMV genre with streaming themed minigames, Gamer Girl follows Abicake99 as her choices—your choices—determine the course of her life.

As they state in their reveal, Gamer Girl seeks to become a new genre of FMV:

The first multi-branching FMV video game with a micro-management meta-game – where players constantly have to analyze and react to a constant stream of chat comments whilst texting Abi and helping her make the right choices.

Gamer Girl is starring Alexandra Burton as Abi. Inspired by the organic filming style of Paranormal Activity and The Blair Witch Project, the actors for Gamer Girl are given only a loose idea of what to expect. Live reading pre-scripted comments and chats, the actors have significantly more authentic reactions.
