Ride Fire-Breathing Dragons Into Battle In PANZER DRAGOON Remake On Switch
Let’s face it, we’ve all wanted to ride a giant fire-breathing dragon into battle at one point in our lives. Anyone who says they’ve never had this fantasy is a liar, plain and simple. And while this is something which is unlikely to happen in real life anytime soon, at least Switch owners can now experience the acclaimed remake of Panzer Dragoon, which recently launched on the system thanks to publisher Forever Entertainment. Originally released on the Sega Saturn back in 1995, this updated version of the dragon aerial combat simulator was developed by MegaPixel Studios, and features highly improved visuals and a new control scheme, making it an essential purchase for fans and newcomers alike.
Set on a distant planet, the story of Panzer Dragoon focuses on two ancient dragons who awaken after years of slumber, and set out on a quest with a human rider to liberate their world from oppressive forces. Throughout your journey, you’ll be using the dragons’ incredible fire-breathing skills to take down enemies, which will range from everything to warships to giant lava worms. And while the gameplay is on-rails, you’ll still need to master dodge techniques to avoid taking damage if you want to reach the end in one piece.
Although there are only seven levels and it isn’t exactly the longest game in the world, this still looks like something which will be fun in short bursts. So if you own a Switch, you can now purchase the remake of Panzer Dragoon from the Nintendo eShop for $24.99, and experience pure joy as all your dragon-riding fantasies come true. Alternatively, you could wait for the physical release, which is set to hit stores later this year.
