MORTAL KOMBAT 11 Box Art Unveiled: Gameplay Reveal Coming This Week
Mortal Kombat 11 director Ed Boon took to Twitter to reveal the game’s official box art, and it depicts Scorpion looking like he’s ready to dish out some Fatalities.
The official Mortal Kombat Twitter account also confirmed that the first gameplay footage would be released on January 17, so we don’t have long to wait until we can finally see the highly anticipated brawler in action.
Little is known about Mortal Kombat 11 at this point, although we do know that Dark Raiden and Scorpion will both be returning as playable characters, with Shao Kahn also being available to those who pre-order. Judging from last month’s reveal trailer, we can also rest assured that the extreme gore, which has been a staple of the franchise since day once, will also be returning. There are also rumors floating around the web that Warner Bros. are working on an animated Mortal Kombat movie to tie-in with the game, but we’ll wait for an official confirmation before we say anything else about that.
Either way, Mortal Kombat 11 is once again being developed by NetherRealm Studios, and will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on the Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 23. Let us know what you think about the box art in the comments below.
