Silent Hill 4: The Room Hits GOG To Celebrate 12th Anniversary
While it may often be considered the odd one out among the numbered Silent Hill games, many people still have a soft spot for Silent Hill 4: The Room. Now you can get the chance to give the game another shot, as it has hit GOG.
If you’ve never gotten the chance to try it before, Silent Hill 4: The Room originally came out in 2004 for PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. The game has you play as Henry, a man who moves into a new apartment only to find himself trapped inside of it by otherworldly forces. Thankfully he has one escape: a hole in his bathroom. The bad news? The hole opens up to terrifying nightmare realms populated with monsters. Now Henry needs to battle these monsters so he can get out of his apartment, all while trying to stop the corruption from spreading.
Recently Konami brought the PC ports of Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, and Metal Gear Solid 2 to GOG, along with Konami Collector’s Series: Castlevania & Contra, which collects the first three Castlevania games, and the first two Contra games. The good news? There’s PC versions of both Silent Hill 2 and 3, so we may possibly just get all three games on GOG down the line. Too bad the original was a PlayStation exclusive. Still, if this gets us closer to new entries in the series, I am all for it.
