Vampire: the Masquerade BloodHunt Announces Open Beta
Hot, deadly, and hungry for blood, Gamescom 2021 has revealed a new trailer revealing a date for players to get their claws dipped into Vampire: the Masquerade Bloodhunt. September 07, 2021, is the date to remember for Early Access. What we know so far is that there will be the night sky of a London-esk city and endless rooftops and alleys for flocks of vampires to fly across. Combat features a mix of gunfights and vampiric hexes and spells that can give you an edge in combat and can be tailored to each individual playstyle.
Descriptions promise a load of style to personalize your dream self to pose on the prey that thought they stood a chance. The gameplay shows third-person combat with shooting and melee as players slide across walls and hang from rooftops in ambush. This is a Vampire: The Masquerade game after all so there will be different vampiric clans to choose from all with their abilities and features selected from the range of vampire depictions in culture and media.
The Urban vampire is a tantalizing character, it’s liberating with both sensual and physical prowess, and hell if I’m not down for indulging a night out taking the town for a joyride. The only question is how far until a bigger fish comes along. Based on the trailers so far players will be able to ally up with friends to swarm enemies and hit the streets for some local dining. That is, NPCs civilians populate the city for the vampiric pleasure but so do their guardians, squads of riot gear clad forces here to cleanse the predators from the night. Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodhunt has all the style going for it. Let’s hope it lives up to its name.
