Re:Turn 2 Runaway Scurries to Release this Month
Re:Turn 2 Runaway will come to PCs and consoles on the 28 of January, according to a release from Red ego Games. The game is a sequel to 2D horror adventure Re:Turn One Way Trip. Find the sequel on Steam for PCs, Xbox Consoles, and the Nintendo Switch.
Protagonist Saki and her fiancé, Sen, find themselves trapped on an abandoned train haunted by an evil spirit. The two of them will need to struggle in order to escape their nightmarish circumstances and free souls trapped by the evil possessing them. Saki’s action will have consequences, though. Whether she hides, runs, or stands to fight the evil, it will affect the outcome of her story. Re:Turn 2 Runaway features reworked visuals keeping the hand-illustrated designs and animations. It will also have full voice acting and a new soundtrack.
“Our experiences launching the original Re:Turn and the feedback we received from media and players alike has really helped shape how we approach our future projects. It was clear to us that we had the pillars in place to deliver the game experience we wanted and had so much more of Saki’s story to share so we’re excited to share this new chapter with everyone. Rebuilding the game experience almost completely from the ground up with a new engine, revamped visuals and full voice acting has really allowed us to push ourselves as developers and to take Re:Turn 2 in new directions with a real emphasis on horror and scares”.

If you’re feeling brave and spicy, you can pick up a demo right now on Steam. There’s a trailer up on the Red Ego Games YouTube channel as well. Otherwise, look forward to the release less than two weeks from today.
