Salt and Sacrifice Dropping This May
The latest in the Salt and Sanctuary series, Salt and Sacrifice, will release on May 10, according to Ska Studios and Devoured Studios. It will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PCs via the Epic Games Store at launch. Check out the trailer on the Ska Studios channel.
Corrupted Mages, capable of controlling the elements in deadly and chaotic displays of power, are wreaking havoc throughout the realm of the Altarstone Kingdom. To fight them, the kingdom conscripts the forsaken and condemned wretches to become Marked Inquisitors and purify the land.
Salt and Sacrifice features eight different character classes. Select one and leave the safety of Pardoner’s Vale before you wander the western frontier. As you traverse the dying realm of the Altarstone Kingdom, you’ll use a variety of weapons and magical abilities to defend yourself. Eventually, you’ll have to face down one of the Mages, putting your skills to the test. If you can destroy their hearts, you can use their eldritch flesh and bone to create new, stronger armor and weapons before you track down the next Mage.
Whether it’s with a PvE-focused faction to summon friendly player-controlled Inquisitors or PvP-oriented groups such as the world-invading Shroud Alliance, there’s something for everyone. You can also use password protection to call only on trusted friends if you want some privacy.
“With Salt and Sacrifice, we wanted to create an experience taking everything players loved about Salt and Sanctuary and building upon it in meaningful ways.”
